Applied science that connects, controls and energizes.

DEET drives applied research projects in power systems, digital signal processing, communications, electronics and control systems.

It brings together three research groups and hosts two graduate programs: the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and the PhD in Renewable Natural Resources. It carries out relevant, applied research in its fields, with local, national and international impact.

DEET brings together a multidisciplinary team of faculty researchers, technicians, master’s and doctoral students devoted to applied research in electrical power systems, control systems, microgrids, telecommunications and signal processing — driving technological innovation and international cooperation from the University of Cuenca.
